AC Milan are reportedly willing to give Manchester United's Marcus Rashford until the end of Monday (January 20) to decide whether he wants a move to Serie A.

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has reportedly been given a transfer deadline by AC Milan.

It has been reported that the Italian giants have serious doubts over the signing of the Red Devil due to his lofty wage demands.

Rashford has been frozen out of the first-team picture by new boss Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford, failing to feature in a game since December 12.

The former England international has also been left out of matchday squads, including the group which was defeated 3-1 by Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

During a bombshell interview in December, Rashford revealed that he is ready for a new challenge away from the Theatre of Dreams after nine years in the Man United senior fold.

'Losing patience' - Rashford handed Milan deadline

According to reports via The Mirror, AC Milan are losing patience in their pursuit of Man United's Rashford on a loan deal this month as the winter window draws on.

It is believed that the Rossoneri have given the 27-year-old until the end of Monday (January 20) to decide whether he wants a temporary switch to San Siro.

The report claims that Rashford is taking his time as he decides the next step in his career, ensuring that he makes the best choice for his development.

As well as AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund are also in the race for the attacker, with the Bundesliga outfit setting a deadline for the potential announcement of the player, as per The Express.

It is understood that the German giants want to announce Rashford at Signal Iduna Park by Thursday (January 23) ahead of league action on the weekend.

Where else could Rashford go?

Since Rashford's public outcry for an exit from Old Trafford, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund have represented the frontrunners in the race for his services.

However, the 27-year-old also has other high-profile suitors, including Spanish giants Barcelona, despite the La Liga side's well-documented financial problems.

There is said to be interest from the Saudi Pro League, although Rashford is keen to compete at the top level of European football in order to play his way into Thomas Tuchel's England plans.
