Lazio president claims Felipe Anderson will join Manchester United for £47m

Lazio president Claudio Lotito reveals that Felipe Anderson will join Manchester United in the summer after a £47m fee was agreed.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has revealed that midfielder Felipe Anderson will move to Manchester United in the summer for £47m.

The Brazilian, who joined Lazio from Santos in 2013, has been linked with the Red Devils for some time.

The Italian club's sporting director Igli Tare previously claimed that United had failed with a £37.6m bid last summer, but it appears that they have now been successful by adding on an additional £10m to the fee.

"Felipe Anderson will move to Manchester United next season, for €60m (£47m)," Lotito told Calciomercato. "I bought Felipe Anderson for €8m (£6.2m), and I've already sold him on for €60m."

Should the transfer go through, Anderson may be playing under a new manager as widespread reports have linked former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to Louis van Gaal's job at Old Trafford.
