Marouane Fellaini departure delayed by injury?

Midfielder Marouane Fellaini could be forced to remain at Manchester United after being pictured with his foot in a protective boot.

Marouane Fellaini has seen his hopes of securing a move away from Manchester United potentially scuppered by a foot injury.

The Belgian midfielder has been heavily linked with Napoli after reportedly being deemed surplus to requirements by new boss Louis van Gaal, but a potential departure appears to be unlikely with just under two weeks left of the transfer window.

The Sun has published a picture of the 26-year-old arriving at hospital on crutches and with his foot in a protective boot after allegedly suffering an injury in training.

It has been suggested that any serious issue could result in Fellaini not being able to pass a medical ahead of a proposed move to Serie A.
