Man United make 'dangerous' move for 26-year-old striker as perfect transfer scenario unfolds

Manchester United are making 'dangerous' moves to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker Randal Kolo Muani in the summer transfer window, according to a report.

The France international is back at the Parc des Princes following a productive loan spell with Juventus in the second half of the 2024-25 season, registering 10 goals and three assists in 22 games in all competitions.

The Champions League holders still have Kolo Muani under contract for another three seasons, but he is not expected to reignite his career in the French capital, and a permanent sale this summer is likely.

Two Premier League clubs have supposedly already rejected the chance to sign the former Nantes and Eintracht Frankfurt striker, but Juventus are thought to be pressing ahead with plans to sign him permanently.

However, Italian outlet Gazzetta claims that the Bianconeri are now facing a 'threat' from Man United, whose interest has become more concrete over the past few days.

Juventus 'not reassured' by Man United Kolo Muani threat

The Red Devils have already added Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha to their offensive ranks this summer, but they are yet to bring in an out-and-out number nine for Ruben Amorim.

The Portuguese's former Sporting Lisbon colleague Viktor Gyokeres has now been confirmed as an Arsenal player, while Victor Osimhen is on his way to Galatasaray on a permanent deal from Napoli.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United appear best-placed to strike a deal for RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, forcing the Red Devils to work down their attacking shortlist, and Kolo Muani is now in prime position.

While the attacker has supposedly always prioritised a permanent move to Juventus, the Old Lady have been left uneasy by Man United's interest, as Amorim's side are now ready to make a 'determined push'.

Kolo Muani has only managed a meagre 11 goals and seven assists in 54 matches for the Ligue 1 champions in all competitions since his £82.7m arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023.

Indeed, a new striker arrival at Old Trafford would almost certainly open the door for one of Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee to leave, and the former is said to be on Juve's radar.

Therefore, even if Kolo Muani does choose the Man United project over the Turin one, the domino effect would allow Juventus to also benefit, whether it be a loan or permanent deal for Hojlund.

However, a plethora of Italian clubs are thought to be keeping an eye on the Dane, including Atalanta BC, Lazio, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Roma.
