Deal for Manchester United's David de Gea to join Real Madrid already agreed?

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon claims that the club could have already agreed to sign Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea this summer.

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has claimed that the Spanish giants could have already agreed to sign Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old was on the verge of moving to the Bernabeu last summer, but the transfer fell through at the last minute due to the relevant paperwork not being finalised by the Spanish transfer deadline.

A few days later, De Gea made a dramatic U-turn by signing a new contract at Old Trafford, but Calderon believes that there is a chance that the shot-stopper will be playing in Real colours next season.

"It would be really strange if David de Gea came but no doubt he is one of the best and also he's a Spaniard, which helps," Calderon told talkSPORT.

"Apparently there is some agreement. They had a deal from last [summer] for him to come but I can't tell you [for sure] as I don't have personal knowledge of that."

De Gea has spent almost five seasons at United following his move from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
