David de Gea 'finally ready to sign new Manchester United contract'

De Gea 'finally ready to sign new contract'

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is reportedly ready to put pen to paper on a £350,000-a-week contract extension.

The 28-year-old's future at Old Trafford has been unclear for a number of months after allegedly rebuffing a couple of offers from the Red Devils.

De Gea's demands are believed to have held up talks, but The Mirror suggests that United have now agreed to pay him the amount he is after to stay on at Old Trafford for the long term.

A five-year deal is said to have been offered to the Spain international, which he is expected to sign in the coming days to become the world's best-paid keeper.

United have also agreed new deals with Marcus Rashford, Andreas Pereira and Axel Tuanzebe this week.
