Bournemouth are reportedly planning to make an approach for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney, who is attracting interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Bournemouth.

Despite only being 20 years of age, Tierney has already made 127 appearances for the Scottish giants in all competitions, and the youngster's progress has allegedly resulted in Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur showing an interest.

However, according to The Sun, Bournemouth are ready to make an ambitious approach for the player as Eddie Howe looks to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.

The report suggests that there is an acknowledgement that the Scottish international will join a top Premier League side in the future, but the Cherries appear ready to give Tierney a chance to play south of the border as early as August.

On Sunday night, Tierney was crowned as the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year having helped Celtic to a seventh successive league title.
