Wayne Rooney has suggested that Aaron Wan-Bissaka should "embrace" life at Manchester United if the defender seals a move to Old Trafford.
The Crystal Palace right-back has been undergoing a medical with the North-West giants after the two clubs moved to the brink of agreeing a deal for his services.
Rooney signed for United at a young age before spending over a decade of his career at the club, and the ex-skipper has encouraged the potential new arrival to 'play without fear'.
The forward told Sky Sports News: "Enjoy it - play with no fear. Manchester United is a fantastic club - one of, if not the, best football clubs in the world.
"You have to embrace it and embrace the culture of Manchester United, learn the history. Just go there and do your best. I am sure if he does that he will be fine - and I am sure the coaches there will be telling him all this."
Rooney was speaking after netting a goal from his own half of the pitch in a MLS game for DC United.
