The 2026 World Cup means that it will not be a standard pre-season for major clubs, and many are expected to remain closer to home to prepare for the new season.
According to The Athletic, in July and August, Man United will play pre-season friendlies in Finland, Sweden, Norway, the Republic of Ireland and Poland.
The report claims that the Red Devils had some discussions over the possibility of playing some pre-season matches in Asia, but they have decided against that.

The 20-time English champions will allegedly face Wrexham in Helsinki, Finland on July 18 and Rosenborg in Trondheim, Norway on July 24.
On August 1, Atletico Madrid will be their opponents in Stockholm, Sweden, before tackling Paris Saint-Germain in Gothenborg, Sweden on August 8.
Long-term rivals Leeds United will be their next opponents at Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland on August 12, before facing AC Milan in Wroclaw, Poland on August 15, with the 2026-27 Premier League campaign then due to begin on August 22.
The clash with Wrexham is due to take place one day before the final of the World Cup.
