Former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra has labelled comparisons between Red Devils midfielders Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek "laughable".
With extensive competition for places in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's midfield, Pogba and Van de Beek have seldom started games together for United this season.
The two players both lined up from the first whistle against West Ham United, during which Pogba curled in a delightful equaliser - whereas Van de Beek was hauled off at half time.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, United legend Evra said: "What a great goal from Paul. When people compare him to Van de Beek, it just makes me laugh. Look at that goal."
Pogba pulled United level at the London Stadium after Tomas Soucek had initially broken the deadlock, with Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford soon propelling the Red Devils to a 3-1 win in the capital.
United now face a crunch match with RB Leipzig in the Champions League before next weekend's Manchester derby in the Premier League.
