Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Everton

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with managerless Everton.

Manchester United will be looking to keep their recent resurgence going when they host Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils have won three games in a row, including back-to-back league wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, and could make it four on the bounce across all competitions for the first time since January.

The recent upturn in form has seen Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side close the gap on the top four to five points, although they will be wary of an Everton side that also experienced a revival under caretaker boss Duncan Ferguson last time out.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Paul Pogba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: December 26 (vs. Newcastle)

Paul Pogba has been sidelined since the end of September due to an ankle injury, but a return is now in sight with the World Cup winner expected to be back in full training next week.

Eric Bailly

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: January 4 (vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Eric Bailly has missed the entire season so far after suffering knee ligament damage during the summer, but he too should be back in training next week and then it will be a case of working his way back up to full fitness.

Jesse Lingard

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: December 15 (vs. Everton)

Jesse Lingard missed training this week and was not involved for the Europa League win over AZ on Thursday night, but he will be given every chance of recovering from his minor muscle strain in time for Sunday.

Diogo Dalot

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: December 18 (vs. Colchester United)

Diogo Dalot is now back in training after a groin problem and is working his way back up to fitness. Sunday's match will come too soon for him, but the EFL Cup quarter-final against Colchester could be a good opportunity for him to get some minutes.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: January 4 (vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Like fellow long-term absentee Bailly, Timothy Fosu-Mensah is due to return to full training next week and will then focus on building fitness having not featured since suffering a serious knee injury while on loan at Fulham last season.

Marcos Rojo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: December 22 (vs. Watford)

Another who is closing in on his comeback, Sunday's match is likely to come too early for Marcos Rojo but next weekend's meeting with Watford could be a possibility.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

United have no players suspended for this match, but Aaron Wan-Bissaka is one booking away from a ban.
