Chelsea play host to Manchester United in the EFL Cup fourth round on Wednesday night on the back of seven successive wins in all competitions.
While Frank Lampard has consistently found himself having to deal with injury issues to key players, the Blues have still been able to build strong momentum on the pitch.
However, with several squad members closing in on a return to action, Lampard may see the game at Stamford Bridge as an opportunity to rest some of his star men.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension list for Chelsea ahead of the showdown in West London.
N'Golo Kante
Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: November 2 (vs. Watford)
With Kante still struggling with a groin injury, Lampard reiterated last Friday that the Blues medical staff were being cautious with the Frenchman. The midfielder is not expected to feature on Wednesday night.
Andreas Christensen
Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: November 2 (vs. Watford)
While Christensen is nearing a return from a hamstring injury, which was sustained on international duty with Denmark, the centre-back is unlikely to play any part in this match.
Antonio Rudiger
Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: Unknown
Rudiger has been absent since playing 45 minutes against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the middle of September. However, while it remains touch and go whether the Germany international will return to action on Wednesday, Rudiger will hope to step up his recovery in this match.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Status: Out Type of injury: Achilles Possible return date: Unknown
Loftus-Cheek has been out since May with a major Achilles injury and he is believed to still be at least a month from being considered for selection.
Ross Barkley
Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: October 30 (vs. Man United)
Barkley has missed the last two matches after suffering an ankle injury against Newcastle United in October. However, the England midfielder could be back in contention on Wednesday.
