Germany omit Marco Reus from Euro 2016 squad

Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus is the surprise omission from the Germany squad for Euro 2016.

Joachim Low has left Marco Reus out of his 23-man Germany squad for Euro 2016.

Following a season that saw him score 20 goals in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund, it was expected that the 27-year-old would make the cut for the upcoming tournament in France.

The news will come as a blow for birthday boy Reus, who missed his country's triumphant World Cup campaign two years ago through injury.

Low also revealed that Julian Brandt, Karim Bellarabi and Sebastian Rudy will be chopped from the training squad.

Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has been included, though, despite the fact that he missed much of last term with fitness problems.
