Manchester City target £35m Madrid star Higuain

Manchester City are planning a £35m swoop for Real Madrid star Gonzalo Higuain, according to The Mirror.

The move comes amid speculation that main target Robin Van Persie appears to favour a move to Manchester United or Juventus.

Higuain could be tempted by a move away from the Bernabau, having reportedly become frustrated at a lack of first team action last season.

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have also shown interest in the 24-year-old Frenchman.
