Former Manchester City defender Stephen Jordan joins Fleetwood Town

Fleetwood Town sign former Manchester City left-back Stephen Jordan on a free transfer.

Fleetwood Town have signed former Manchester City left-back Stephen Jordan.

The 31-year-old, who made 62 first-team appearances for the Citizens between 2003 and 2007, joins the Cod Army on a free transfer from Dunfermline Athletic.

"[Experience] is one thing I do bring," Jordan told Fleetwood's official website.

"I have played at all different levels and I hope to bring that to the team as well as anything else I can bring.

"I'm obviously left-sided so hopefully it will bring some balance to the team on the left side, but there is some good players in the squad so it's a case of me fighting for my place to make sure I get a shirt."

Jordan's former clubs include Cambridge United, Burnley, Sheffield United, Huddersfield Town and Rochdale.
