Report: Manchester City's Martin Demichelis set for return to Argentina

Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis could reportedly join Argentine outfit Rosario Central in January, six months before his contract expires.

Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis has reportedly considered the possibility of moving to his homeland of Argentina with Rosario Central in January.

The 34-year-old's contract with City expires at the end of the season, but he could move on in the New Year after falling down the centre-backs pecking order at the Etihad.

Demichelis has made only one Premier League start this season after starting 55 in his first two seasons at the club.

According to ESPN, Demichelis could end his 12-year stay in European football to return home and Rosario is a possible destination.
