QPR boss Harry Redknapp: 'It's not the worst time to play Manchester City'

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is wary of Manchester City's "quality", but believes that it is a good time to play the Premier League champions.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp believes that now is a better time than any to play reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.

Manuel Pellegrini's side recovered from back-to-back defeats to seal a 1-0 win over local rivals Manchester United, but they returned to losing ways in the Champions League.

City are on the brink of exiting the tournament at the group phase following last night's 2-1 defeat to CSKA Moscow, which also included red cards for Fernandinho and Yaya Toure.

While Redknapp is hopeful that QPR can take advantage of City's unsettled form, the 67-year-old remains wary of the opposition's "quality" players.

"It's a very up and down game," Redknapp told reporters. "When you're at a club like Man City they don't have too many downs do they? But they still have probably the best layer in the Premier League in Aguero and they are full of quality.

"It's not the worst time to play them. At the moment they are not playing with the same freedom and flare of six weeks ago."

Thirteen points currently separate the two clubs in the Premier League table.
