Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini named Manager of the Month

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has been named Manager of the Month for December after his side dropped just two points over the hectic festive period.

The reigning Premier League champions picked up five consecutive victories last month against Sunderland, Everton, Leicester City, Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion.

The team's 100% winning record in December came to an end on the 28th when Burnley snatched a late 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium.

Pellegrini's side scored 14 goals and conceded four during the month.
