Pellegrini: 'My team will get even better'

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that his players will continue to improve following their winning start to the Premier League season.

The former English champions have a 100% record so far having won their first three games and not conceded a goal in any.

City's latest triumph came in the form of a 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.

"I think the players want to keep improving because I see the way they work every day," The Express quotes Pellegrini as saying.

"When everyone is saying you are playing so well, it is very easy to work a little more comfortable, but I see every day they are improving.

"A lot of players are still finishing their pre-season, especially the South American players who arrived late. They don't believe what you did last game will be useful to win the next game and I think we are in a good mind."

City's result at the weekend equalled their club record of nine top-flight wins in a row, which last occurred in 1912.
