Manchester City target Daniele de Rossi

Manchester City are reportedly eager to sign Italy international Daniele de Rossi from Roma.

De Rossi, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has been linked with a number of clubs around Europe – including Manchester United – since the summer.

While the Italian, 28, has spent his entire career with the club, it is understood that Roma could look to cash in on him this winter.

However, a potential deal with the Citizens could hinge on the sale of Carlos Tevez, according to The Sun.

De Rossi has made 265 appearances for the Giallorossi since his debut in 2001.
