Gael Clichy misses out for Manchester City

Gael Clichy has been ruled out of Manchester City's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on Tuesday with a foot injury.

The French full-back has missed the Blues' last two fixtures in the Premier League because of the problem.

However, David Silva has returned to Manuel Pellegrini's squad after sitting out the team's previous six games due to a calf strain.

Despite both teams already being safely through to the last 16, City and Bayern face each other at the Allianz Arena with a first-placed finish in Group D awaiting the winner.
