Lorient's Jeremie Aliadiere out for rest of season with hip injury

Aliadiere out with hip injury

Lorient striker Jeremie Aliadiere has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hip injury.

The 30-year-old picked up the problem during his side's Coupe de France semi-final defeat to Evian TG last week.

"I've had pain in my hip for some time now," Ligue1.com quotes him as saying.

"I fell awkwardly in the match against Toulouse (on April 21) and since then I've been playing through the pain (against Marseille and Sochaux in Ligue 1, and against Evian in the cup).

"Since that last match, the pain has been a lot worse and I haven't been able to train - I've just been receiving treatment. In my opinion, I won't play again before next season."

Aliadiere will miss Lorient's final two games of the Ligue 1 campaign because of the injury.
