Gareth Bale has suffered an injury that will rule him out of Stuart Pearce's Team GB squad for the Olympics.
It had been reported that the Welshman was struggling with an injury that could see him miss this summer's Games and those fears have now been confirmed.
The 22-year-old is believed to have pulled up during training as he tried to keep fit ahead of the tournament.
Bale, who signed a new four-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week, was believed to be a certainty for selection after a remarkable Premier League campaign.
Pearce is due to name his 18-man squad on Monday.
