Liverpool reportedly have plans to offer defender Virgil van Dijk a lucrative new contract.
While the centre-back still has over three years remaining on his existing deal, the Merseyside giants are known to be keen on extending those terms as soon as possible.
With Liverpool announcing record profit up to and including May 31, 2019, The Mirror suggests that the Premier League leaders are ready to respond by holding talks with the Netherlands international.
As it stands, it is unclear whether Van Dijk will be prepared to pen on the dotted line, aware that he will not be short of offers later in his career.
Nevertheless, the 28-year-old is in line to receive a substantial wage rise, as well as being offered the chance to associate himself with the club until his mid-thirties.
