Youri Tielemans 'pushing for Liverpool move this summer'

Liverpool have reportedly been handed a boost in their efforts to sign a like-for-like replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.

The Netherlands international departed Anfield on a free transfer at the end of last month, forcing Jurgen Klopp to identify potential alternatives.

Liverpool have been linked with a number of different players, including Aston Villa's John McGinn and Lille's Renato Sanches.

However, Voetbal24 has suggested that Leicester City's Youri Tielemans is pushing for a transfer to Liverpool before the end of the summer window.

The report claims that the 2019-20 Premier League champions would need to part ways with £64m to wrap up a deal over the coming weeks.

Tielemans has just two years remaining on his contract, effectively leaving Leicester in a position where they will have to consider the sale of the Belgium international if they wish to receive their asking price.
