Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Basel winger Mohamed Salah, according to his former teammate Mohamed Zika.
The 21-year-old, who has been dubbed the 'Egyptian Messi' has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield following reports that the Reds are going to bid £12m for the player.
"Yes, I am 99% sure this will happen," The Mirror quotes Zika as saying. "He makes us and all of Egypt proud.
"Everybody talks about Mohamed Salah now, and aside from that he's my friend. I'm very happy for him."
Salah is also said to be a target for Chelsea and Manchester United.
