Liverpool prospect Brad Smith has said that making his debut for Australia was a "dream come true", despite losing 2-0 to Belgium.
Smith, currently on loan at Swindon Town, has represented England at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level but was born in Penrith, Australia.
The defender came on for the Socceroos in the 72nd minute, replacing former Everton midfielder Tim Cahill.
