Morgan Schneiderlin urges Southampton to their keep feet on the ground

Morgan Schneiderlin tells his Southampton teammates not to get carried away following his side's 1-0 victory over Liverpool.

Morgan Schneiderlin has urged his Southampton teammates to not get carried away following his side's "amazing" 1-0 win away at Liverpool.

Dejan Lovren's second-half header gave the Saints all three points at Anfield.

After the game, Mauricio Pochettino hailed his side's performance, and while Schneiderlin echoed his manager's sentiments, the midfielder has urged his teammates not to get overly confident.

"It's an amazing moment for the football club, but we knew we were capable," Schneiderlin told the club's official website. "We can win against any team.

"We won't get carried away.

"We will keep our feet on the ground and we'll keep working hard."

The result has lifted Southampton up to sixth place in the table.
