Liverpool's Simon Mignolet: 'We need to build on Tottenham Hotspur win'

Simon Mignolet insists that Liverpool need to build on their impressive performance against Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has insisted that he and his teammates need to "build" on their performance against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Merseyside outfit managed to secure a comfortable 5-0 win over the North London outfit at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

"We showed what we can achieve when we play the football we want to play and all of us do our jobs," Mignolet told the Liverpool Echo. "We are happy and enjoyed the moment but Tottenham is in the past and now we have to look forward."

The Reds can go to the top of the Premier League table with a victory over Cardiff City in the early kickoff on Saturday.
