Liverpool's Lazar Markovic, Alberto Moreno available to face Manchester City

Brendan Rodgers confirms that summer signings Lazar Markovic and Alberto Moreno are available to play against Manchester City on Monday.

Liverpool's summer signings Lazar Markovic and Alberto Moreno are available to make their Premier League debuts for the club against Manchester City on Monday night.

Markovic's career at Anfield was halted by a minor injury, while Moreno's deal from Sevilla did not go through in time for the full-back to play in last weekend's 2-1 victory over Southampton.

Manager Brendan Rodgers told reporters in today's press conference: "Markovic will come into the squad. He has been excellent in training and has worked very hard to come back. [Moreno will] be in the squad, he comes in fit. He's a young player that is very dynamic going forward."

Meanwhile, the Reds are poised to sign AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli, who will reportedly undergo a medical ahead of a £16m move.
