Liverpool hold talks with possible Brendan Rodgers replacement?

Liverpool look for Rodgers replacement?

Liverpool have reportedly begun considering their options should they decide to part ways with manager Brendan Rodgers.

The safety of the Northern Irishman's job has been questioned following a dismal start to the season, which has left them ninth in the Premier League table after 15 games.

Following Tuesday night's Champions League exit at the group stage, rumours regarding Rodgers's position at Anfield have intensified.

Journalist Duncan Castles told Bleacher Report that Liverpool's American owners have contacted "alternatives" to replace the 41-year-old, who guided the club to second in the league last season, just two points behind champions Manchester City.

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp, Zenit St Petersburg's Andre Villas-Boas and former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, who now coaches Napoli, have been touted as possible candidates.
