Kenny Dalglish reacts to Brendan Rodgers Liverpool appointment

Kenny Dalglish has spoken for the first time about the appointment of Brendan Rodgers as the new Liverpool manager.

The former Swansea City boss was confirmed as the Scotsman's successor in a press conference at Anfield this morning.

Dalglish wrote on Twitter: "Congratulations to Brendan and Good Luck to everyone at LFC. Kenny"

Dalglish, who is deemed by many Reds fans as the best player in the club's history, was sacked from the Merseyside club following a disappointing season, where Liverpool finished eighth in the table.
