Leicester City are reportedly considering a bid for Vitoria de Guimaraes defender Edmond Tapsoba.

While Brendan Rodgers currently has four centre-backs at his disposal, the Foxes boss is keen for Filip Benkovic to gain regular first-team football at a Championship club.

The Croatia international will only depart the King Power Stadium should Rodgers bring in a fresh face for his backline, intended to provide competition for Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu and Wes Morgan.

According to the Daily Mail, Tapsoba is on Leicester's shortlist having impressed for Vitoria in Portugal's top flight this season.
