Agent: 'Riyad Mahrez future is 50/50'

Leicester City attacker Riyad Mahrez has a '50% chance' of leaving the King Power Stadium this summer, according to his agent Kamel Bengougam.

The agent of Leicester City attacker Riyad Mahrez has admitted that there is a '50% chance' that his client could leave the Premier League champions this season.

The Algerian, who was named the PFA Player of the Year for the 2015-16 season, has scored 17 goals and registered 11 assists in Leicester's Premier League success this term.

A number of clubs have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old, and Kamel Bengougam has conceded that Mahrez could depart the King Power Stadium in this summer's transfer window.

"Yes of course there is a possibility [Mahrez could leave]. When you have been playing the way Riyad has this season it is bound to attract attention," The Guardian quotes Bengougam as saying.

"He is very happy with Leicester and of course it has been a fantastic season. They will play in the Champions League next year as well so he would be happy to stay.

"But at his age if the opportunity comes to play for a big team then we would have to think about it. I'd say it's 50/50 at the moment whether he stays or goes."

Mahrez, who is contracted to his current club until 2019, joined Leicester from Le Havre in January 2014.
