Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has revealed that he considers captain Wes Morgan to be one of the most important players at the club.
The 28-year-old has played a key part as Leicester overcame a tough start to move up to fifth place in the Championship table and Pearson believes that Morgan has made an important contribution to the club's climb up the table.
Pearson told BBC Radio Leicester: "He is one of the players we are building a team around.
"He's as good a defender as there is at this level and has been since he's been here - never mind just this season."
Morgan faces his old club on Saturday as Leicester host Nottingham Forest.
