Half-Time Report: Joe Dodoo, Andrej Kramaric goals put Leicester City in charge

Leicester City hold a comfortable 2-0 half-time lead over Bury in the second round of the League Cup after first-half goals from Joe Dodoo and Andrej Kramaric.

Joe Dodoo and Andrej Kramaric's first-half efforts have earned Leicester City a 2-0 lead over hosts Bury at half time in their League Cup clash at Gigg Lane this evening.

Leicester might have found themselves ahead after just three minutes, but Dean Hammond was unlucky as he saw his header fly over having climbed highest from a corner.

The Foxes were presented with another good chance to take the lead when new signing Gokhan Inler found some space, but his low strike was kept out smartly by Christian Walton in the Bury goal.

As Bury continued to weather an early storm, Leicester forward Kramaric sought to take matters into his own hands, only for Walton to produce another standout stop to deny his counterpart in the 20th minute.

Debutant frontman Dodoo soon came to the rescue, though, as the rising striker collected in the middle of the box to produce a memorable finish into the top-left corner.

The away side put themselves in an even better position just before half time, as Kramaric returned to register having been picked out by strike partner Dodoo.
