Trezeguet urges Pogba to stay with Juve

Former Juventus striker David Trezeguet has advised Paul Pogba to remain at the Bianconeri amid speculation linking the midfielder with a move to Real Madrid.

The former Manchester United starlet has emerged as one of the continent's hottest young prospects since swapping the Premier League for Serie A in 2012, resulting in reported interest from the Spanish giants.

However, the ex-France international, who enjoyed an 11-year stint with the reigning Italian champions, has urged the 20-year-old to stick with Juve, who he believes are a club "on the rise".

"I have spoken very little with him," the 36-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "But, for me, he should stay at Juventus. I would strongly advise him to do that.

"For someone like him, it is important to stay. He's playing and Juventus are a club on the rise. They will get even better."

Pogba, whose current deal with the Turin-based outfit expires in 2016, has hit five goals this season in helping Juventus ascend to the summit of Italy's top flight.
