Juve want Osvaldo loan?

Juventus are reportedly attempting to sign Southampton striker Pablo Osvaldo on loan in January with a view to permanent transfer next summer.

Osvaldo has been at the Saints for just three months after making a switch from Roma in August, scoring once in seven games in the Premier League.

Bianconeri coach Antonio Conte has five international strikers on his books including Carlos Tevez, Mirko Vucinic and Fernando Llorente, but has been keeping tabs on Osvaldo's progress on the South Coast.

Llorente has struggled to settle in Serie A and Conte views Osvaldo as a suitable alternative to provide a physical presence in attack, according to The Mirror.

The Saints have given no indication that Osvaldo is for sale, despite reports that the Azzurri international has struggled to settle in his second spell under coach Mauricio Pochettino.
