Former Juventus striker David Trezeguet backs the Italian champions for Champions League success this season.

David Trezeguet believes that Juventus can win the Champions League this season.

The 34-year-old, currently at Argentine giants River Plate, played for the Italian champions between 1999 and 2010.

"Juventus really impressed me against Chelsea," he is quoted as saying by Tuttosport. "They are a united team and are very well organised.

"They can go all the way in the Champions League if they can keep up their current form.

"The team's spine is of the highest level. Players such as Gianluigi Buffon, Andrea Pirlo and Mirko Vucinic are all world class."

Trezeguet joined River in December 2011.
