Billy McKay would 'cost a lot of money'

Inverness Caledonian Thistle boss Terry Butcher says it would take "a really special fee" to convince the club to sell Billy McKay.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle boss Terry Butcher has warned interested suitors that Billy McKay would "cost a lot of money".

The 24-year-old scored 27 times for the Scottish outfit last season after joining from Northampton Town, with his form said to be generating interest from across Europe.

Butcher told The Scotsman: "[Billy] is much admired by other managers in the league but it would take a really special fee to get him. Billy is almost the perfect attacker and he will cost a lot of money."

McKay has already hit the net nine terms this term.
