Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Graeme Shinnie signs for Aberdeen

Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Graeme Shinnie has signed for Scottish Premiership high-flyers Aberdeen.

The 23-year-old has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Dons and will join the club on a three-year deal when the summer transfer window opens in June.

A press release on the official Dons website said: "[Shinnie] chose to join Aberdeen despite offers from English Championship Clubs. Everyone at Pittodrie is delighted to welcome Graeme to the club."

Shinnie, who has made over 140 appearances for Inverness, was selected for the PFA Scotland Team of the Year last season.
