Scottish Premiership roundup: Draw puts Hamilton Academical top

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish Premiership action, with Hamilton Academical, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Dundee United joint top of the table.

Hamilton Academical moved to the top of the Scottish Premiership on goal difference following an eventful 2-2 draw at Dundee United.

Both sides had a man sent off and all of the goals were scored in the first period, with Mikael Antoine-Curier and Tony Andreu on target for the Accies, and Nadir Ciftci and Jaroslaw Fojut netting for the hosts.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle surrendered their place at the top of the table by crashing to a 3-1 defeat at Partick Thistle, conceding their first goals of the season in the process.

Aaron Doran opened the scoring for Cally, but goals from Steven Lawless, Abdul Osman and Kallum Higginbotham condemned them to their first loss and moved Partick up to eighth.

Dundee are up to fifth courtesy of a 1-0 win away to St Johnstone, with Gary Harkins scoring the only goal of that game in the first half.

Ross County remain rock-bottom, without a point to their name, after going down 2-1 at home to Motherwell, and St Mirren are not much better off, above them only on goal difference following their defeat to Kilmarnock by the same scoreline.

Celtic defeated Aberdeen 2-1 in this afternoon's early kickoff, with Jason Denayer and Kris Commons on target for the champions, and David Goodwillie scoring a consolation for the Dons.

Results in full: Celtic 2-1 Aberdeen, Dundee Utd 2-2 Hamilton, Kilmarnock 2-1 St Mirren, Partick Thistle 3-1 Inverness, Ross County 1-2 Motherwell, St Johnstone 0-1 Dundee
