Inter Milan 2-1 Fiorentina

Goals from Diego Milito and Antonio Cassano earn Inter Milan a 2-1 win over Fiorentina at the San Siro.

Inter Milan have moved up to third in the Serie A table with a 2-1 win over Fiorentina at the San Siro.

The Nerazzuri went ahead from the penalty spot on 17 minutes when Diego Milito fired home following Gonzalo Rodriguez's handball.

They doubled their lead 10 minutes before half time thanks to Antonio Cassano's calm finish.

However, Fiorentina cut the deficit moments later as Romulo headed in David Pizarro's cross.

After picking up a yellow card for his handball in the first half, Rodriguez's night got worse midway through the second period when he picked up his second booking for a foul on Yuto Nagatomo.

Despite being a man down, the visitors pushed forward in search of an equaliser but they were unable to breach the Inter defence a second time.
