Preview: Inter Milan vs. Sassuolo

Inter vs. Sassuolo

Inter Milan come into this weekend's Serie A clash with Sassuolo still looking for their first win of 2014.

The Nerazzurri have gone six games without a victory and have slipped to sixth place in the table, with 11 points separating them from Napoli in the final Champions League qualifying spot.

Last weekend's 3-1 defeat against Juventus made it one win in their last 10 league games, and heightened speculation over the future of Walter Mazzarri.

Their opponents Sassuolo are in even worse form, having lost eight of their last nine matches in all competitions. Last month's shock 4-3 win over AC Milan has been their only victory since November.

The last time that these two sides met, Inter claimed a 7-0 win, in what is the largest victory of the Italian season so far.

Inter are without injured midfielders Ricky Alvarez and Esteban Cambiasso, so Hernanes should make his debut for the club after moving from Lazio at the end of January. Sassuolo will be without the suspended Pedro Mendes, while Francesco Acerbi, Emanuele Terranova and Marcello Gazzola are all ruled out through injury.
