Half-Time Report: Inter Milan ahead at Verona

Icardi is the difference as Inter Milan take a 1-0 lead over Hellas Verona at the break in Serie A.

Inter Milan are 1-0 up over Hellas Verona at the break in Saturday night's Serie A encounter at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.

Hernanes looked lively in the opening 10 minutes and saw two of his shots blocked by Verona defenders.

Argentine forward Icardi broke the deadlock for the visitors after 11 minutes, scoring from close range after being set up by Rodrigo Palacio.

Luca Toni came close to equalising seven minutes later but his looping header went narrowly over the crossbar.

Marcelo Brozovic failed to hit the target from long range, and Mounir Obbadi shot wide of the right post on the half-hour mark.

As it stands, Inter will move to ninth in the Serie A table.
