Sunday's Major League Soccer predictions including New York City vs. Toronto

Inter Miami vs. Atlanta (Sunday, 6.00pm)

Inter Miami can match their longest winning run in franchise history when they host Atlanta United on Sunday in Major League Soccer action from DRV PNK Stadium.

The Herons have won back-to-back domestic fixtures, edging the Seattle Sounders 1-0 a week ago, while Atlanta were held goalless for a second straight league encounter, drawing 0-0 with FC Cincinnati.

We say: Inter Miami 2-0 Atlanta United

Both of these teams have taken their share of knocks, but Miami are the sharper side at the moment and have found ways to win without perhaps their best player in Higuain.

We expect to see Miami come out on top against an Atlanta team who are struggling to stay healthy or show that quality in the final third, while the Herons have a striker in Campana who is in fine form right now.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Orlando City vs. NY Red Bulls (Sunday, 8.30pm)

The New York Red Bulls have an opportunity to catch Orlando City for second place in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer when the two sides face each other on Sunday at Exploria Stadium.

The Lions have won three straight matches in all competitions, while New York are winless in back-to-back league games, drawing 0-0 with Dallas a week ago as they currently sit three points behind Orlando in the table.

We say: Orlando City 1-1 New York Red Bulls

Orlando and New York can put on a virtuoso performance with quality individuals who can break a game open, but it seems as though those multiple-goal games for each are few and far between.

These two teams know how to find that extra gear to avoid defeat, and we expect them both to do enough to earn a point on Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Cincinnati vs. Los Angeles (Sunday, 10.00pm)

Los Angeles FC will pay their first-ever visit to TQL Stadium on Sunday as they take on FC Cincinnati in the second-ever meeting between both sides in Major League Soccer.

Cincy are winless in three straight domestic fixtures, while The Black and Gold are tied with the Philadelphia Union for the best record in the league, winning five of their last six matches in all competitions.

We say: FC Cincinnati 1-4 Los Angeles FC

Although Cincy have been stingier defensively of late, those clean sheets were not against teams with nearly as much attacking potency as The Black and Gold.

Los Angeles look to be the real deal, and they should have no trouble defeating a side who, while improved, have not been consistent or shown that they can stay composed at the back against a quality side.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

NY City vs. Toronto (Sunday, 10.00pm)

Following an emphatic victory a week ago, New York City FC host one of the hottest teams in Major League Soccer in Toronto on Sunday at Yankee Stadium.

The reigning MLS Cup champions tied a club record for the largest victory in franchise history, defeating Real Salt Lake 6-0, while TFC are unbeaten in four straight contests, handing the Philadelphia Union their first defeat of the campaign, 2-1.

We say: New York City FC 2-2 Toronto

Both of these sides seem to have found their footing at long last, and although New York might have the edge in experience and offensive depth, TFC have proven to be a much more resilient bunch than we saw in 2021.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
