James Harper to join Doncaster Rovers?

Former Hull City midfielder James Harper is reportedly training with Doncaster Rovers ahead of a possible move to the club.

The 31-year-old, who left Hull at the end of last season, has linked up with the club's pre-season training and could join before the weekend, according to Sky Sports News.

Rovers boss Dean Saunders is understood to be keen to bolster his midfield before the end of the August window.

A number of Championship clubs are also reportedly in the race.
