PFA vows to 'fully support' Hull City's Jake Livermore following cocaine reports

The Professional Footballers' Association has vowed to 'fully support' Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore after he was suspended for allegedly taking cocaine.

It has been reported that the 25-year-old failed a drugs test last month.

This afternoon, Hull confirmed that the midfielder will play no part in the Tigers' final two crucial Premier League games as they fight for survival, but they did not mention reports that their player tested positive for cocaine.

A statement from the PFA read: "The PFA notes the charge levied against Jake Livermore of Hull City regarding an alleged anti-doping violation. We are providing our full support at this difficult time but will make no further comment as the matter is subject to the appropriate processes."

The FA is currently investigating the allegations.
