Hull City confirm they have re-applied to FA to rebrand club Hull Tigers

Hull confirm fresh name-change application

Hull City have confirmed that they have sent a fresh application to the Football Association to change the name of the club to Hull Tigers.

Owner Assem Allam has been knocked back twice in his attempt to rebrand the Premier League club.

The FA initially rejected the request due to the fans' negative reaction to the proposal, and while an independent tribunal dismissed the relevance of fan opinion, they declared earlier this month that Allam will not be granted his wish in the short term.

Now, it has been confirmed by the club that a new application has been lodged with the hope of the East Yorkshire outfit being approved for the start of the 2015-16 season.
