Bruce sidelined for a month

Hull City defender Alex Bruce is expected to be out of action for up to a month with a hamstring injury.

The 30-year-old missed his side's 1-0 defeat to Southampton on Saturday after suffering the problem in training the previous day.

"Alex got injured in training on Friday, one of the last kicks of the session," manager Steve Bruce told the club's official website. "It's a hamstring but we don't think it's too serious. It's probably going to be two, three or four weeks."

Hull continue their Premier League campaign this Saturday when they travel to struggling Burnley.
